Biography

Professor Beraldo's research focuses on the development of bioresorbable metal- and polymer-based materials for biomedical applications. His work encompasses the design, fabrication, and characterization of materials for the development of small, temporary medical devices. He possesses particular expertise in the development of polymer coatings for biodegradable metals and in the fabrication of thin materials through electroforming. His career has allowed him to develop expertise at the interface between metals and polymers, and his scientific contributions have been recognized through awards at conferences in his field, as well as publications in high-caliber, peer-reviewed journals. In short, Professor Beraldo contributes to the development of new strategies for the design of bioresorbable metallic and polymeric materials, aiming to address emerging needs in regenerative medicine.
